Welcome to Waterford Harbour Sub Aqua Club's new website. We think it is fitting that we are entering the information age just as we mark the 40th Anniversary of the club. At lot has changed in diving over the last four decades and there will, no doubt, be plenty of more change to come.

To remember the years past, we have published a collection of photographs taken by our club members over the years. So take a nostalgic trip down memory lane in our online Gallery.

Equipment Service and Maintanence

A reminder that all cylinders need to be VIP'd every 2.5 years, Hydrostatically Tested every 5 years and O2 Cleaned every year. All scuba equipment not just cylinders need to be serviced and maintained. Equipment such a Dry Suits, Regulators and Stab Jackets should be checked regularly i.e. every year or as per manufacturers recommendations. Do not wait for problems to happen, get you equipment checked out now!

Medicals

CFT Guidelines state that a diving medical is required before commencement of dive training, thereafter every 5 years for divers under 35 years, every 3 years for divers over 35 years, or every year if the diver is on medication of there is a change in medical status.

A chest x-Ray is required on first medical or if clinically indicated. ECG at age 50 then every 5 years.

The diving officers of the week will be checking for an up to date medical and x-ray. If they are not in date you will not be diving.
